Four steps. Cash, card, or no card at all.

Unbanked shoppers can still load cash at participating counters. Debit and credit users load in the app. The discount lives in a voucher the register scans.

1

Estimate the trip

Heading to Target for gifts? Lowe’s for lights? Load $45, $80, $150 — whatever the cart is likely to be.

2

Pick the store

Each participating store posts its own CashTac rate on select items. Locals can outbid big box for the visit.

3

Download the voucher

The landing page writes the discount into the app. You get a QR and a code. No app store wait if you use the web wallet.

4

Scan at the register

Point of purchase scans the QR. Discount applies. Pay the rest with the CashTac card, debit, or cash.

Holiday shopping
Holiday window

Christmas shopping is the proving ground.

A $150 toy-and-wrap run at 3% is $4.50 back into the next gift. A $200 mall trip at 5% is $10. Do that four weekends in November and December and the tree costs less without clipping paper coupons.

Stores fund the rate because CashTac shoppers arrive with a committed basket. Local independents use a higher rate to steal a trip from the big box next door.

Launch partners we are building toward — national banners plus Sacramento independents that want exposure. Rates below are the working model: $45–$200 loads, 2–5% on select items.

Get customers ready to buy.

Offer a discount based on purchase amount and sell more. Compete with the big stores. Expand your brand. No business is too small for more business.

They load $45–$200 in your name before they park. You post 2–5%. QR at the register. Cash still works. A $4.80 offer can win a $120 ticket the mall thought it already owned.

Works with cash

No debit? No credit? Still in.

Load cash at a participating counter or keep paying cash at POP. The voucher is the discount layer — not a replacement for legal tender. The CashTac card is optional. The QR is not.

Straight answers

Is this live at Target / Walmart / Lowe’s today?

Not yet. cashtac.app is the landing and voucher backend. National banners and local stores are the intended network. Treat current rates as the product model while partnerships close.

What does the shopper actually download?

A signed voucher: store, loaded amount, rate, dollar off, expiry. It lives in the web wallet now and is designed to drop into the iOS / Android app as a QR pass.

How does cash funding work without a bank card?

Shopper brings cash, cashier or CashTac load partner keys the amount, voucher issues against that store. At checkout they scan the QR and can still tender cash for the balance.

Who pays the 2–5%?

The store, as acquisition and basket insurance — the way a private-label gift card discount works, except the shopper chose that store before they left the house.
